Palma de Mallorca Airport (PMI) has been recognised as the “Best Airport in Europe” in the category of airports handling between 25 and 40 million passengers annually. This prestigious award was granted by Airports Council International (ACI) as part of the Airport Service Quality (ASQ) programme for 2024. Remarkably, this marks the third consecutive year that Palma Airport has received this honour, reinforcing its commitment to excellence in passenger experience.
Airports Council International (ACI) is a global trade association that represents airports worldwide. Founded in 1991, ACI works to promote the collective interests of airports and ensure a safe, secure, and sustainable air transport industry. The organisation provides guidance, best practices, and industry insights to help airports enhance their operational efficiency and customer service.
The Airport Service Quality (ASQ) programme is ACI’s leading global benchmarking initiative that assesses passenger satisfaction across airports. It collects real-time feedback from travellers about various aspects of their airport experience, such as cleanliness, security, staff courtesy, and overall efficiency. The ASQ programme is regarded as one of the most comprehensive and reliable tools for measuring airport performance from the perspective of passengers.
